can’t use ChatGPT.

A private AI node on your own EU server, with UK legal and tax specialists that cite their sources and compute the real figures - on your files and theirs. Installed in 48 hours, with your firm’s name on it.

See it working

Real figures. Real sources. Not generated text.

This is the actual product. Ask a question in plain English; the calculators run server-side and every answer carries its statutory sources, so you can check the working before you rely on it.

How it works

From question to cited answer in three steps

01

Ask in plain English

“What are the notice requirements for making 15 staff redundant?” No jargon or special syntax needed.

02

The right expert goes to work

Node+ picks the expert your question needs. It searches your synced documents alongside legislation.gov.uk, Companies House, HMRC manuals, and the FCA Handbook, and runs any calculators required.

03

Get cited answers you can use

Every answer references the exact section of legislation or record. Financial calculations show full workings. Where no verified source exists, the system says so.

Organisation Files

Your documents, answered.

Your matter files, precedents, and policies sync to your own node and become queryable in the same conversation as UK law. Ask about your own leases, contracts, or templates and get answers with cited page previews, so you can see exactly where each answer came from.

Connect a folder from your own Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint. Documents are indexed on your dedicated server. Nothing leaves it.

Syncs to your node

Your files are OCR’d, indexed, and embedded on your own server, never on shared infrastructure.

Cited page previews

Every answer from your documents shows the exact page it came from, alongside citations to live UK law.

Nothing leaves your server

One query searches your archives and current legislation together, entirely on your single-tenant node.

Flagship expert

Meet the Conveyancer.

A property matter rarely sits with one specialist. PrivateNode draws SDLT, title and searches, leaseholder protections, lender requirements and AML source-of-funds into a single cited answer. See the full team of experts →

Common questions

Why can’t we just use Microsoft Copilot?

+

Microsoft is a US company subject to the CLOUD Act. US authorities can compel access to data regardless of where it’s physically stored. For UK regulated firms handling client-confidential information, this creates a compliance risk that can’t be contracted away. PrivateNode processes everything in European jurisdiction with zero US legal exposure.

How is this different from tools like Harvey or Legora?

+

Harvey and Legora are excellent enterprise products built for large law firms with enterprise budgets and US-based infrastructure. PrivateNode is purpose-built for UK regulated SMEs: simple fixed monthly pricing, EU-only data processing, and UK-specific regulatory intelligence (legislation.gov.uk, HMRC, Companies House, FCA Handbook) that US tools don’t have natively.

What about professional body guidance on AI?

+

SRA, ICAEW, RICS, and REC guidance all require firms to understand where client data is processed and maintain confidentiality obligations. Our architecture (dedicated EU infrastructure, zero retention, ISO 27001 certified hosting, full audit trails) addresses these requirements directly. We provide compliance documentation for your risk assessment.

Can we combine our own documents with UK legislation?

+

Yes. Your contracts, policies, and precedents are indexed alongside legislation.gov.uk, Companies House, and tribunal decisions on your dedicated server. One query searches both your archives and live UK law, with citations to both.

Who owns our data?

+

You do. PrivateNode acts as a data processor under your instructions. You remain the data controller at all times. We provide a full Data Processing Agreement as standard, covering GDPR Article 28 requirements. Your data is stored on your dedicated server in EU jurisdiction, never shared with other clients, and never used for model training.
